Tom & Keenie
Tom and Kathleen (Keenie) Carroll met when they were just 15 and 16 years old. After 40 years of marriage, they have four loving adult children and four grandchildren. They have devoted their lives to their successful careers, children and helping those around them. Tom is the rock of his family and the true patriarch. His children know they can go to him with anything at anytime and he will be there. Keenie has always been everyone's caretaker not only because she is a nurse, but she has a beautiful heart that shines in her personality and, of course, cooking.
Since being both diagnosed with different types of difficult cancers, their lives have changed dramatically. While their diagnoses are different, they share the cancer and the difficult treatments that come along with it. While their loved ones will never understand why both of their parents have to fight cancer together, they know that the unbelievable strength and determination of their parents can move this world, and can defy any medical odds or diagnoses.
Melissa, Christine, TC and Matthew would like to thank everyone for visiting this page and for their love and support over the past several months. Watching a loved one fight the beast of cancer is something that no one wants to ever face but to have both of your loving parents fighting the difficult diagnoses at the same time is something that most of us can not imagine. It is because of your love and support that they are each able to have the strength to help them fight.
